Sigari House is an old mansion. The different parts of the house have been built in Qajar and Pahlavi Dynasty. The main founder of this house is unknown and the name comes after its late owner.

Sigari House, A Prominent School 

In Pahlavi Dynasty, the house used to function as a school. It functioned as a school called “Tadayon” since 1920 for about 20 years. The school was held under the management of Seyyed Hashem Faghihi and was one of the most important schools of its time.

How Mr. Sigari Became the Owner of the House?

After that time, Haj Abdolhosein Sigari bought the house and he was the owner of the house for 50 years. After Buying the house, he renovated the building. In 1994, some of the professors of Architecture Department of Shahid Beheshti University bought the house for reclamation purposes. After the restoration, several people inhabited there. Seyyed Naser Razavi and Seyyed Hadi Razavi bought the house to experience the local Iranian lives.

House Architecture 

The house has 4 yards. the Exterior Yard, the Interior Yard, the Working Yard, and the Crew Yard. There is a pond in  Interior Yard. The main kitchen and storehouse are located in the Crew Yard.

Remarkably, the house has been registered in National Heritage List in 1996.

Sigari House, known also by Torab Guesthouse, has 15 rooms with 18 beds. The total capacity is 50 people. It is a traditional house with a peaceful atmosphere. The house offers internet, air conditioning system, elevator, and traditional tea house. Notably, they serve all the meals, so do not worry about the meals.
