Well, it’s cities turn! Who doesn’t like to take a leisurely walk in a street with tall trees on both sites and listen to the pleasant sound of rustling autumn leaves snapping sound under your feet? Or sitting on a wooden garden bench in a 400-year old palace and sipping on your coffee? Every one says Tehran is a crowded and polluted city; well, it is true to some extends, but it surely has a wonderful fall which makes it a perfect fall destination.
Here are some of the best places that you can visit in Tehran during autumn:
Vali Asr Street

The longest avenue in Tehran known as Valiasr Street connects the southernmost part of the city to the north of it. So many historical houses, main sites, and commercial centers are located on this 18-kilometer street. Mellat Park, TehranRailroad Station, and City Theatre are some to mention.
There are different activities you can do on Valiasr Street. So many shops and restaurants, as well as parks (such as Saei Park or Mellat Park) and cultural sites, are on this street. Notably, lots of branches including Benetton, Reebok, Adidas, and etc. have branches on this street.
Golestan Palace

A trip to Tehran is impossible to imagine without visiting the oldest historical monument of the city, breathtaking and glorious Golestan Palace. You can’t even describe the palace as a museum – it is a striking evidence of the great dynasty majesty. Golestan Palace was nominated for and then granted the title of UNESCO World Heritage site in 2013.
he palace covers an area of 53000 m2 and displays different periods of the history of Iran. Even though the major part of the palace belongs to the Qajar era, every single corner of the complex looks unique and has its own history to tell. Marble Throne, Brilliant Hall, Ivory Hall, Mirror Hall, Diamond Hall are some of the main points of the palace. While your look is moving from dazzling mirror mosaics to painted domes, you will not notice how time passes.
Saad Abad Complex

Sa’dabad Complex is a majestic museum on the north of Tehran, the prominent heritage of the Qajar Era was Built in the 19thcentury. The complex consists of several palaces, as well as forests, streets, and museums. The general area of the complex is more than 1 sq.km. Museums exposition covers different aspects of Iranian mythology, art, and culture, and is a complex introduction into Iranian history and life of the last Shahs of Iran in the 19th and 20th centuries.
The complex includes 18 buildings, 10 of them are opened for public. 4 of the buildings are at the disposal of the presidency organization, 3 buildings host administration of the complex. The two most noteworthy buildings are White Palace (Palace of the Nation) and Green Palace (Shahvand Palace). White Palace was built in the early 1930s by Reza Pahlavi and served as a summer residence. Outside the building, there is a piece left of Shah Reza’s monument. Now the palace displays furniture, decorations, paintings, and carpets in the same state as they were during the reign of Shah Reza.
Laleh Park

Located at the junction of North Kargar Street and Keshavarz Boulevard, You can reach Laleh Park easily by metro or taxi stations from different parts of the city. Carpet Museum, Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, a mosque, different statues, child Library, chess tables, basketball and volleyball courts are some of the things you can enjoy at the park.
For reaching the park you can use the metro. You should go to the 4th line of the metro. And go to Enghelab Square station. From Enghelab Square you can take a 15-minute walk or take a taxi. You can also reach the park by taxi from Fatemi Square, Valiasr Square, Hafte Tir Square and go to different entrances of the park.
Mellat Park

It is one of the largest and oldest parks in Tehran. Mellat Park has been established in 1976. It has an area of about 34,000 hectares. This park has about 120 different kinds of trees and shrubs. An Artificial Lake, 4-D Cinema Complex, Iranian celebrities' statues, and a small zoo are some of the features to mention.
Located at the northern part of Tehran. It is located at the longest avenue in Iran, Valiasr Street. One of the main features of Mellat Park is its tempting entrance. It is decorated with colorful flowers, artistic sculptures, small fountains, and tall trees that all invite you to visit the park.
