History of Shemshak Ski Resort

Many years before the transformation of Tehran into a metropolis, people used to seek residence in heights and mountains of the northern parts of Tehran. The main reason for doing this was the cool weather of these areas in summer. However, thanks to its Ski Resort, Shemshak has become a touristic city nowadays. The Ski Resort owes itself to German engineers who founded it. In 1948, this resort officially started welcoming people. Nevertheless, no sooner than 1958, after the installation of the tele-ski, did the resort become a professional one. Hence, the world federation recognized it as an international resort. Ski lovers in Tehran and generally in Iran, take Shemshak and Dizin International Ski Resorts into account when it comes to choosing a destination. Though, it is worth mentioning that Shemshak Ski Resort is a much better choice for amateurs. Whereas Dizin Ski Resort has more professional facilities. This resort is ready to use each year after a winter snow.
