Filband is certainly one of the most secular and wonderful places in Iran that you will ever see. Imagine being on the edge of the sky, where the hills and clouds meet and watch the sun as it goes slowly down into eternity. That’s what it feels like being in Filband. About Filband

Filband is a village near Babol, in Mazandaran Province. You may also hear the villagers call it Filban, which is the shorter version of Filband. But normally, you won’t find many villagers there, especially during the cold seasons.

Filband is set on hills that are at a height more than 2300 meters from the sea level. As a result, in this unique location, you can enjoy an endless ocean of fluffy and fast-moving clouds. This scenery, watching the clouds moving underneath your feet, is the most popular attraction in Filband. It’s not the clouds that are down, it is you that is in height!

Filband is a paradise for campers and climbers, especially in summer and spring, when the weather is excellent. You might be lucky to see a rainbow after a gentle rain. As the village has harsh winters, it is normally vacant during the cold season.

Location of Filband

There are two ways to reach this dreamy village. First, you can go to Filband using Babol road, but the path is extremely bumpy; therefore, choose this road only if you want to use an offroad. The second path is much more convenient.  You should use Haraz Road and Sangchal Road in Amol to reach Filband. Take Amol to Haraz Road, after 2 Km and after passing the tunnel, you will see the road sign “Chalav Village” on the left side. After getting through this village, you will get to Filband.

There are few restaurants in Filband that you can use such as Hali No Restaurant and Rasooli Restaurant.

There is no hotel in Filband and if you wish to stay a night or two in this wonderful village, you can stay in local suites.
