My Iran trip Itinerary

You are warmly welcomed to one of the oldest cities of ancient Persia; Shiraz, the home to numerous internationally-recognized Poets. After breakfast, you meet the guide at the hotel lobby and your exciting tour begins; we start our visit with the Nasir-ol-Molk Mosque, a masterpiece of innovation and creativity. Glaring sun rays enter through colorful glasses of windows and paint the floor and columns with various and vibrant colors. Afterward, you will get surprised by the distinguished architecture of Persian Gardens in Eram Garden (UNESCO World Heritage). Stroll in the Garden while you are filled with information about the history of the place. Shortly after, we head to Karim Khan Citadel (Arg of Karim Khan) a well-built fort, and a must-see monument.  Then we move on to enjoy the fabulous architecture of Vakil Mosque and admire the beauty of carpets, rugs, and woven handicrafts found in Vakil Bazaar, hanging around we enter Saray-e Moshir, a traditional Bazaar. Let’s call it a day by paying a visit to Hafez Tomb, one of the most prominent Iranian poets.

An existing excursion to the heart of ancient Persia is ahead of us today. Persepolis (UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE), a treasure that remained from the ancient era, a complex which accommodates a bunch of palaces, discloses many secrets of the Persian World. Not so far, we visit Naghsh-e Rostam which is an ancient Necropolis, a large ancient cemetery with elaborate tomb monuments. Here you can see a group of ancient Iranian rock bas reliefs from the Sassanid era. Hit the road once again, we drive to Pasargadae, where Cyrus the Great is resting for centuries. These ruins are among the only remains reflecting the glory of the ancient Persian Empire.

As the third day of our tour begins, everything is ready to explore the leftovers. Afif-Abad Garden originally Gulshan Garden is a museum complex in Shiraz. There is an attractive palace inside the garden, decorated with intricate tiling and stone columns that looks like Persepolis palaces at first glance. The complex includes a traditional coffee house, a traditional bath, and a museum. The garden is now home to military equipment. This museum is divided into two major parts, the Weapons, and the Ebrat museum. Soon after, we visit Shapouri and Zinat Al-Moluk House, a house dating back to the Qajar dynasty. It is said that Narenjestan Qavam Garden is connected to the house by an underground way. So, Narenjestan is our last visit.

Amazing Iran

  • Great, overall view of Iran and Persian history. Beautiful country!
    Joe Smith
  • The 11 day budget tour was absolutely excellent value for money with most aspects of the itinerary exceeding my expectations. The guides were exceptionally well qualified, knowledgeable and experienced with excellent social skills and friendly, warm and sociable personalities.
    Rowena Kelly
  • Hit and miss - while we loved our time in Iran, the tour was disappointing in some regards. Shaqa was a friendly, welcoming and personable guide however she often put her own interests before those of her group (only 4 of us travelling together). Knowledge was lacking in other areas however we supplemented this with our guidebooks. A more detailed itinerary would help matters. Driver, vehicle, hotels all very good.
    Katrina Chisnall
  • It was my dream for a long time to visit Iran and the experience that I had with Esmael and Oveyss was awesome. Very helpful people and resourceful. My expectations were above and beyond. These people left a good mark of me of Iran. It was an epic trip from North to South and I wish can do it over again. Thank you very much Esmael and Oveyss

  • Got to see the most important things in a very short period of time. I wouldn't be able to do so many things if we didn't join this tour. Our tour guide Sahand was amazing! He answered all our questions and had the best advice/tips and stories. Getting to know him and about Iran from his perspective was part of the enjoyment of the tour!
    Johan Scheffer
  • Hi, I have just returned from a holiday to Iran. I would like to say thank you for an amazing trip, I know you have lots of destinations and tour guides, but the one we had Oveyss Kiyani, was exceptional, he is like a walking encyclopedia, he is so knowledgeable.
    Johan Scheffer
  • This tour allows you to see most parts of Iran. The tour was very well organised. I had an excellent driver, who managed to safely navigate Iranian traffic, which was not always easy. My tour guide Elahe was knowledgeable, efficient and professional, but also had that personal touch, which I very much appreciated.
    Valentina Moltchanova
  • Our trip to Iran was a big question at the begining however it ended up as an amazing one. It was totally a new experience. Iranians are so freindly and love to take selfies. Local houses give you the chance to live locals' life for a short time. Its too short but authentic. Apochi team were a good hand and a great supporter in time of exchange challenges.
    Merry Johnson
  • Superb, certainly one of the best traveling experiences we've had over the past decade or so. We learned about 2500 years of Persian culture; we learned what a skewed view of Iran we tend to get from Western politicians and media. We are very impressed with the Iranian people. This all thanks to the travel agency Apochi.com
  • Sahand - our local guide - made the tour absolutely incredible. The itinerary was good and Sahand was happy to be flexible. Some items in the itinerary were scheduled on Friday however Sahand moved these around for us. The hotel in Isfahan was great. Apochi did run the group tour with just two people and so we were very thankful for the - in effect - private tour. Iran is amazing!!
    Benjamin Griffin
  • The Apochi team in Tehran was very helpful, setting up this comprehensive tour with just myself travelling on very short, four-day notice. They helped out at my arrival when cash was needed to get the entry visa, provided a highly competent tour guide who is a PhD candidate in archaeology, and were flexible with the hotel reservations when dealing with change. requests. And Apochi is the perfect partner to set you up.
    Peter Herzog
  • Forget all your preconceptions. Iran has the friendliest people in the world (we were stopped and chatted and took selfies with literally hundreds), the most fascinating historical sites (especially Persepolis, gorgeous palaces and Mosques) beautiful landscapes (Lut desert, mountains) and we felt completely safe. Our guide Reza and the Managing Director of Apochi, ATA, were particularly helpful.
    Lawrence Gerner
  • Along our trip, many times I joined other group to hear the orientation from their guide. Why? 1. Our guide Just let us read explanation signs. 2. I found other guides are much knowledgeable. Reza is a good guy but obviously he only knows your information at Tabriz.
    Chia-mei Tseng
  • Absolutely loved Iran, the scenery, the cities, the history and the people. Such friendly, helpful, caring people. Esmaeil my guide for the last week has been so knowledgeable as well as fun to be with.
    Noreen Tennant
  • We are very happy with your service. All your team, specially the guides; are marvelous people. You have a beautiful country with very special people. Although we could reach the summit , we are really happy, for this reason the next summer we want to visit you again
  • As for our driver-guide ‘Mister Bobak He has been helpful in many ways, providing interpretation, translation, wifi, answers to our many questions, and leading us to good addresses we would not have discovered without his help. This was an excellent company and guidance, we can easily recommend to our family members, colleagues, and friends willing to visit Iran.’
    Jan Do Volder
